本集最初於1964年3月20日播出，故事背景設定在狂歡節。垂死的傑森·福斯特強迫他貪婪的親戚哈珀一家戴上反映他們真實性格的怪誕面具。
威爾弗雷德·哈珀性格內向且貪婪，總是用金錢來衡量一切。他最終得到了一副可憐守財奴的面具。

My dad is a huge Twilight Zone fan and this Wilfred Harper mask from "The Masks" episode was the perfect Father's Day surprise. The vacuform detail is sharp and creepy, exactly like the one in the 1964 Mardi Gras episode. He actually wore it to a costume party and it held up great.
Got this as a Father's Day gift for my dad, who's watched that Mardi Gras episode every year since forever. The vacuform captures Wilfred Harper's grotesque face perfectly, and the paint job looks straight out of the 1964 episode. He actually teared up a little.
The vacuform mask is way sturdier than I expected for something this size, and the Wilfred Harper face is spot-on from the Mardi Gras episode. Hung it on the wall next to my Twilight Zone collection and it instantly became the centerpiece.
