The leather strap has real weight to it and the metal backplate is sturdy enough that it doesn't feel like a cheap costume piece. I compared it to photos from the original film and the blade spacing matches exactly. My dad wore it all through dinner on Father's Day without taking it off.
The razor blades look genuinely sharp and menacing, way better than the cheap plastic ones I've seen at Halloween shops. My dad wore it all night at his birthday party and kept fake-slashing everyone. The leather strap and metal finger plates feel solid, not flimsy at all.
Dad's been a horror fan for thirty years and he actually flinched when he opened this. The blades are dull plastic, which is smart for safety, but they still catch the light and look mean on the shelf. Wish the finger seams were a bit tighter, but for display it's solid.
