LA-1에서 1~5명의 플레이어는 한때 로스앤젤레스였던 종말 이후의 도시에서 사건을 해결하며 Mace & Doyle Investigations를 위해 일하는 탐정 역할을 맡습니다. LA-1은 추리 게임이 아닌 스토리 중심의 협력 어드벤처 게임으로, 플레이어는 단서 토큰을 모아 해당 사건이나 용의자에게 적용합니다. 많은 사건 이벤트에는 여러 버전이 있어 같은 사건을 다시 플레이해도 수사가 완전히 다른 방향으로 진행될 수 있습니다. 플레이어는 함께 잠복 및 수사를 수행하고 기술과 자원을 활용하여 어둠이 내리기 전에 각 사건을 해결해야 합니다.

My dad and I cracked our first case on Father’s Day and the cooperative tension was spot on — no deduction arguments, just pure teamwork figuring out the clues together. The 5-player cap is perfect since my brothers joined in without the game slowing down.
The cooperative 1-5 player setup is perfect for game nights with my dad, and the detective roleplay feels genuinely immersive without turning into a boring deduction puzzle. I love how we’re all working together to crack cases in the ruined city, and it’s kept us engaged for hours.
The post-apocalyptic LA setting is a nice change from the usual noir detective stuff. Even with just two of us playing, the cases feel meaty enough that we’re never just going through the motions, and the whole whodunit angle keeps things fresh.
