Compare the officially licensed Krampus and Captain Spaulding costumes from Trick or Treat Studios. Find out which horror villain look fits your next event.
Quick answer
Choose the Krampus Costume for a menacing, holiday-themed horror look, or the Captain Spaulding Costume for a classic cult-film villain vibe. Both are officially licensed and one-size-fits-most, but lack included masks.
Why the mask matters
Neither costume includes a mask. The Krampus costume comes with a weathered Santa robe, hood, chains, and bells, while the Captain Spaulding set includes a shirt, pants, and skull bow tie. You’ll need to buy a separate mask or makeup to complete either look, which adds to the total cost and effort.
Screen accuracy vs. versatility
The Captain Spaulding Costume is designed for screen accuracy, based on behind-the-scenes photos from Rob Zombie's cult classic. The Krampus Costume recreates the demon from Michael Dougherty's modern Christmas film, offering a more thematic, holiday-appropriate scare. Your choice depends on whether you want a specific movie replica or a broader horror character.
